This was probably the most physically difficult place to get to that I've been thus far... It was a steep climb down into this hole. Very, very, muddy with little to grab on to. The way back up was even more challenging. Luckily my group helped me out, or I think I would've been stuck. :(
Yeah, so my tripod broke at the end of this visit. For the record, every shot was taken in darkness, so handheld shots weren't really a thing that could happen.
As it turns out, the stupid thing was creeping during most of my long exposures, resulting in magnificent motion blur effects.
Of course, I previewed on sight, but I couldn't tell on my camera's screen.
Here's some of the stuff that sort of turned out okay.
We visited a couple of small towns, Wetumpka and Tallassee. Honestly, I wasn't in the best of moods, so I didn't take many photos... Overall, I'm not extraordinarily pleased with what I got, but whatever. Here they are, presented in no particular order.
